Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has been ruled out for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals against the

Boston Celtics because of an ongoing strained left groin, the team announced.

“He’s definitely made progress, but he’s not quite ready,” Heat coach Erik

Spoelstra said before Friday’s must-win showdown.

Herro suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Game 3,

and the Kia Sixth Man of the Year has been out of action since.

Miami has struggled offensively in his absence, averaging 81 points in the past two games

— both Boston wins. The Heat shot just 33.3% from the floor in Game 5.

Herro has averaged 13.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14 playoff games.
