'Star Wars' tells people to hide racist remarks about the new face of the galactic name.

"Star Wars" in the series tweet is a description of actor Moses Ingram, who plays Revu in the new

"Star Wars" series "Obi-Wan Kenobi." This week, Ingram, a black man,

posted a photo of himself on Instagram, including several racist remarks he received when the show began on Friday.

One said he was counting the days. The other is called "separate lease". The Star Wars Twitter account said on Monday,

"We are proud to welcome Moses Ingram to the Star Wars family and delight in the evolution of Reva's story.

" saying, 'We have resistance'.

"There are over 20 million species in the Star Wars galaxy, please do not consider racism," Star Wars wrote.

Ingram's representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A Disney + spokeswoman directed NBC News via a tweet on his "Star Wars" account.
